Foster's Game Dinner XII...

We went down to New Haven again for the game dinner night at Foster's. This time, our dinner group included, Joe Capobianco, Phil Young, and Julio Rodriguez, all of Hope Gallery in New Haven, CT. The attending ladies were, Julio's wife, Denise Rodriguez, and of course Katie and I were representing the P.I.

Dinner was great! My favorites were the snapping turtle chili and the buffalo pot roast. So good! Here are some photos of our dishes in the order we ate them, as well as the animals in them. Thanks to Katie for finding the most inappropriate photos of the animals we eat, and thanks to Denise for the great photos from the bathroom and at the bar. Enjoy...

The PRE-GAME: Pâté en croûte

1st COURSE: Snapping turtle and black bean chili with beemster cheese
Phil samples the snapping turtle. Mmm...
2nd COURSE: Wild boar chop Milanese with baby arugula tossed with a muscatel vinaigrette and golden tomato bruschetta
Julio shows us how a real mean eats a boar chop.
3rd COURSE: Buffalo pot roast with fingerling potatoes and baby carrots

4th COURSE: Phil Sandwich. He's thinking "Please don't eat me".
DESSERT: Fried strawberry ice cream with aged balsamic milk chocolate sauce
We enjoyed plenty of wine with our meal, so by the time dessert arrived, things had gotten a little silly...
A bathroom/photo break for the ladies... this IS what we're doing in there!
Scott Elliot, Restaurant Manager at Foster's... one very accommodating host.
Julio turns into the Hulk when he drinks... Julio SMASH.
It looks like Phil knows this is a bad idea... but he's going for it anyway!
Last Call? Joe is totally partying. Just try and stop him.

EAT AT FOSTER'S!!!
