May 10th, 1969, Promontory Summit, Utah - The First Transcontinental Railroad was completed with the joining of the Union Pacific and Central Pacific Railroads. That same day Axl Rose's hunger was abated with the joining of his gaping mouth and a cold slice of seedless watermelon.
