Portrait by Russell YoungMarilyn Monroe 'Goddess'Acrylic paint, enamel and diamond dust on linen62 x 48 inches
Today I thought I'd give you another of my random picture collections. I love the colour pink, when I was a kid I was obsessed with it and wanted absolutely everything to be pink. Now I own barely any. This post is dedicated to my dearest Helga and Faux Fuschia who are both fabulous

Private view - American Envy by Russell Young
I love this one...
Last night I went to the private view of Russell Young's newest exhibition American Envy at Mayfair's Scream gallery.
I'm a huge fan of Russell's work and it was great to meet him properly. I've tried to take some photographs but it's impossible to capture how fabulous the diamond dust is in real life. They're very sparkly and glittery but the camera can't pick up how

Friday quotes - Marilyn Monroe

"Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kissand fifty cents for your soul"
Marilyn Monroe(1926-1962)
Marilyn Monroe was the ultimate Hollywood starlet and legend. Probably the most instantly recognisable female icon in the world.
I wonder what she'd have been like had she lived? I like to there's something special about a star who

Marilyn Monroe
The other day, a friend and I were discussing the phenomenon of Ms. Norma Jean. She was saying how she didn't really buy in to Marilyn's sex goddess status, and that she didn't find her all that gorgeous. I disagree. I find her to be the epitome of femininity and grace, and the archetype of the tragic heroine; as a Gemini, she obviously straddled many different roles with ease - pin up, recluse, bombastic blonde, misunderstood star, bodacious, brilliant, and ultimately alone. Here are some of the photos I've scanned of her. Hope you enjoy them. As always, please credit if you re-post. All photos scanned from Vanity Fair, Celebrity Skin, and the book "Too Young To Die".
