I've just heard the very sad news that Elizabeth Taylor died today aged 79 from heart failure.  This is a re-post of a piece I did in January 2010.

MICHAEL JACKSON AUGUST 29, 1958 - JUNE 25, 2009

I was laying on my parents' bed watching "The 20 Greatest Unsolved Murders" (for probably the fourth time) on E!, when, around 5:30 PM, there was a breaking annoucement saying Micahel Jackson was rushed to the hospital having suffered a heart attack. Probably 20 minutes later, the annoucement interrupted the show again saying Michael was dead.

Rest in peace, King of Pop.
