JINDABAAD!!!! Ain't about rebellion, frustrations, creative disillusions or democracy. The difference that bias the good and the bad declares the sound. Art has nothing to do with it, JINDABAAD!!! is art.



JINDABAAD!!! is a kathmandu based ART-Rock group as they like to call it.Discovering what they cant do and wont be allowed to do has resulted in influencing the sound of the band lately. Pop ,rock n roll, punk, futuristic heart thumping club, jazz, progressive,psychedelic,imaginative or non imaginative , everybody feeds on that as long as it can be simplified to the listening ear and to the mind. The band believes in everything .Simple, hard,raging to cold.The band believes in all that jazz and still fantasizes about the low tuned 8-stringed teethwreenching Hi-gain dream.Talking about an industry standard where music has always been used, rather than listened to, Jindabaad is cohesive towards the Independent Scene in NEPAL. Jindabaad are writing their own music as well as producing their own sound spectrum.

Saheed by X-mantra: Democracy Day Special

The English translation for the Nepali word "Saheed" is "Martyrs". Every year, the 7th of Falgun is celebrated as the democracy day in Nepal. The 60th National Democracy Day is being observed today throughout the nation with various programmes. I would like to present this song from the album "Crying for piece" by X-mantra as a tribute to the martyrs of this country on this day. The picture above shows 4 martyrs of Nepal: Gangalal Shrestha, Sukraraj Sastri, Dharmabhakta Mathema and Dasrath Cahnd.

Think of the loyals of metal music in Nepal and you’ll think of young boys and some adult men banging their heads with metal heavyweights like Megadeth and Metallica. And think about the first metal band of Nepal and you’ll surely think about the one and only X- MANTRA. They have already gained a solid cult following in the valley and their music and their influences have also made quite an impact on other major cities of Nepal.
Their first album made quite good impact on the Nepali metal scene. Now with so much to look forward to and new metallers emerging from the call of the metal pioneers, Nepali music (metal, in fact) can start anew itself.
X-MANTRA comprises of Rojesh Shrestha on vocals, Sandeep Tuladhar on lead guitars,Ritesh Shrestha on the bass guitar, and Anuj Shakya on the drums.

Progenies of the Great Apocalypse: Dimmu Borgir

"Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" is a song by the Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir. It served as their debut single on the album "Death Cult Armageddon". The song features guest vocals by "Immortal" frontman Abbath. Parts of this song and another song ("Eradication Instincts Defined") were used for Hellboy and Stardust trailers and was the theme song to the 2004 MTV series "Battle for Ozzfest". It is also included in the soundtrack of the game "Brütal Legend".
The music video features extravagant computer-generated effects to correspond with the song's intensity and prestige. The televised version is edited down from 5:25 to 3:35 and censors the female nudity. It aired frequently on Headbangers Ball and Uranium in the months following its debut. The gothic designed keyboard featured on the music video is also eye catching.

This song refers to a war between those with religious restiction and those without; namely, Satanists against the rest. Anyone who has read the works of Anton LaVey can see this, especially in these lyrics:

We Will Rise: Arch Enemy

When I heard this song for the first time (i.e. hearing arch enemy for the first time), I didn't have a bit of clue that the band had female vocalist. Either Angela Gossow is really skilled in growling or I have ear problems. This song from the album "Anthems of Rebellion" is a kind of rebellion song. The lyrics of this song is awesome (the lines on the lyrics are very strong) but by looking at it I think that the interpretation of the lines will vary a lot from people to people depending upon their perception. In my and most of the metal head's opinion, this song is about metal heads. It clearly tells you to keep on moving, keep on rising regardless of what people speak.

Strong vocals, good lyrics, heavy guitar riffs and lightning fast drum beats stands this song out from the rest of metal songs. Its probably the best song from Arch Enemy.

A Tout le Monde: Megadeth (Its Not About Suicide)

MTV banned the video because they thought it promoted suicide. They did show it after some special comments were added, explaining how many kids commit suicide every year in the US. This message appeared at the end of the video: "Suicide is not an answer. Get help." The woman and child in the video are Mustaine's wife Pam and son, Justis. This song is often misinterpreted about suicide as the lyrics appears as a suicide note. But according to Dave Mustaine (vocalist and lyricist) : 'A Tout Le Monde' is based on a dream I had, where my mother came back from heaven to say 'I love you.' It's about me talking to her again.' The chorus of the song is written in French which means : "To all the world. To all my friends. I love you. I must leave."

This song is not about suicide but the words in the song are the words that people utter in their deathbed. Dave Mustaine clearly states "It's not a suicide song. What it is, it's, you, it's when people have a loved one that dies and they end on a bad note, you know, they wish that they could say something to them. So this is an opportunity for the deceased to say something before they go. And it was my impression of what I would like to say to people, if I had say, 3 seconds to do so in life before I died I'd say to the entire world, to all my friends, I love you all, and now I must go. These are the last words I'll ever speak, and they'll set me free. I don't need to say I'm sorry, I don't have to say I'm going to miss you, or I'll wait for ya. You know, I'll just say I loved you all, good, bad and different, I loved you all."
This must be one of the finest song of Megadeth aces on all part of music including vocals. The soft acoustic intro, heavy riffs and melodic solos of Mustaine and Marty Friedman perfectly fits the theme of lyrics.

Snuff: Slipknot

This is a short film for the song "Snuff" taken from Slipknot's album "All Hope Is Gone", directed by M. Shawn Crahan and P.R. Brown.
Lead singer Corey Taylor (from Kerrang! July 19, 2008): "This is the slow one. It's another personal one. Again, not naming names, it's about someone who helped me through a lot and I thought she felt the same way that I did and then she really let me down. At the same time, it was good that she did, because it was that final push to me figuring out myself. The lyrics are pretty self-explanatory."
This is one of the very few songs from Slipknot that I like. This is a touching song with amazing feel and the song clearly displays perfect job done in lyrics, music and vocals. After reading a lot of reviews on this song, I can conclude that this song saddens and inspires those who have broken down emotionally.

Paid In Full: Sonata Arctica

When I listened to this Finnish metal band for the first time, I found it similar to Nightwish in many aspects. But as I got opportunity to listen more from them, I discovered that they have a completely different kind of music style. Although many of them tend to dislike the vocals of Tony Kakko, I've been liking his vocal skill and quality a lot. This song "Paid in Full" form album "Unia" is a love song and one of the best songs of Sonata Arctica. Though every band member have done their job excellently for the song, I'll always remember this song for the awesome work of Henrik Klingenberg(keyboardist) ;especially the solo.

THE GRAND CONJURATION: OPETH

This is a typical opeth song : unusual heavy guitar riffs, extremely melodic solo, good use of keyboard and bass and the combination of soft and death vocals. The transition of Mikael's vocals from whispering to growling and vice-versa is just amazing. This song from the album "Ghost Reveries" is based on satanic theme. The lyrics of the song shows the worship of satan; the call to satan. And my interpretation of the video is that it is about a boy who killed his mother and turned to satan except for the isolation years. Well, you can put forward about how you percieve this song.

Nothing Else Matters: Metallica and Apocalyptica

This is one of the very few love songs of Metallica. According to James Hetfield (vocalist of Metallica), he wrote the song about a girlfriend he once had, but when he looks back at it, he can't remember why he wrote it. Now, Metallica just considers it a song about their fans, because "nothing else matters" but their fans. This mild music video is perfect for a soft song with simple and melodic pluckings and solo and blending vocals of James. This song was covered by "Apocalyptica". The covered version is not different than what they have been doing. Its a symphonic instrumental with no vocals, guitars or drums.

Dreamer: Ozzy Osbourne

Well, this is the emotional song from the solo album of Ozzy Osbourne featuring Rob Trujillo (Metallica) in bass guitars and Zakk Wylde (Black Label Society) in leads that pulled me into Ozzy's music. I just figured Trujillo and Wylde when watching back this video. This song is about Osbourne's dream of different world for better living and happiness of children. It carries an introspective about the sad state of the world.You can see in this video directed by Rob Zombie. Ozzy compares this to John Lennon's "Imagine," which contains the line, "You might say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one." He tries to convey the message that God and Jesus have nothing to do with our fate - the power is within us to bring the real change.
