Dinner at Foster's ...

Last night Katie and I went down to New Haven for the January Game Dinner at Foster's Restaurant. Foster's is known for it's "eccentric American cuisine", and this was our second time attending their game dinner night. The first time, the menu was so crazy that I actually regret not taking photos of the creatures we ate. It was the night before Halloween, and the menu had been planned accordingly. The courses were; jellyfish salad, frog legs, squid ink ravioli w/spider crab served in a pumpkin, Burmese python and the main course was a roasted giant fruit bat! It sounds crazy, but everything was great, and I finished everything they put in front of me! For the entire next month I told anyone who would listen that I ate a bat. Who can say that? We had such a great time, the food was great, and the staff was super friendly, so we decided we would definitely attend the games dinners regularly.

So we go down to New Haven, to meet Joe Capobianco and Phil Young from Hope Gallery, and Jack from Rethink Your Ink and his wife, Becky Morton from Unique Ink in Marion IL. We get out of Pulse at 6pm and dinner started at 7pm. We were a little late, and were the last to be seated. As soon as we sat down, it began…
