Polly Borland, pictures I love and some more hoods

I met Polly Borland when we were seated next to each other at a dinner given by Bella Freud and Susie Bick.  We hit it off immediately.  Polly is fantastic, talented and great fun.  I was familiar with some of Polly's work, particularly in fashion and her book Bunny that featured my friend, the actress Gwendoline Christie.  We exchanged details and

Polly Borland is a portrait photographer. The 49-year-old was born in Melbourne, Australia, but has lived in Britain since 1989.  Her subjects have included Sir Kingsley Amis, Cate Blanchett and the Queen.  She lives in Brighton with her husband and son.

I had seen Gwendoline walking in Brighton and was drawn to her.

Bella Freud and Susie Bick - Screening and dinner




Last night I went along to the screening of a short film for Bella Freud and Susie Bick's gorgeous knitwear label.  The film was made at my house so I was really interested to see how it looked.  Director's Willem Jaspert and Steve Langmanis had done a wonderful job.  I love the film!  I will be able to post it here as soon as the music is cleared.  They've used a great song by Susie's husband
