My week
I was very glad that everything seems to have calmed down in London today and I can ride my bicycle again. I'm absolutely loving my new found freedom and I've been going all over the place. The first day I rode it I didn't even like a car going past me! I'm fine now although I'm steering clear of main roads, bendy buses and car doors opening! I never took my driving test and haven't had a

Giles collaborates with Nine West. And meet Eek
Photography by Sølve SundsbøGiles in the latest issue of LOVE magazine sporting an Eek manicure
Last night I went to the press launch for a collaboration with Giles and Nine West. Named "Shoelaborations" the latest tech-based capsule collection by Giles will be in stores in the Autumn.
Fred Allard, Nine West Creative Director, said, "Giles Deacon is a design visionary who has a unique

Time for an economy drive and a few quotes as it's Friday
"My problem lies in reconciling my gross habits with my net income"
Errol Flynn(1909-1959)
Me too Errol, I've always been appalling with money. I absolutely have to cut down on spending because I love the freedom I have in my life now. God forbid I have to get a "proper" job. I'm not motivated by money and never have been. I can never understand how I manage to spend so much.

David Waddington's 40th Birthday at Bistrotheque
Birthday boy the gorgeous Mr Waddington
Yesterday my great friend David Waddington co-owner of East End restaurant, bar and cabaret Bistrotheque gave a lunch for forty close friends and family to celebrate his 40th Birthday. It was also the seventh anniversary of Bistrotheque's opening.
Even after seven years Bistrotheque still has no sign outside just this painted on the wall in entrance

I make a hedgehog for the royal wedding
As part of our retro buffet I made a cheese and pineapple and cheese and cocktail onion hedgehog. I waited until we'd watched the wedding as I wasn't organised enough before. It's taken me bloody ages! What a pallaver that was! No wonder no one makes them anymore.
I bought Canadian mature cheddar even though I was told to buy "crap cheese" I ignored it. I should have listened as the cheese

Mad about red and orange
My favourite colour has always been red. I also love orange. Both work well with my pasty English complexion. Amazingly I only have a handful of pieces in red left and I own one bright orange sarong that I bought in Sri Lanka.
The Actor and I are off on holiday in June and I can't justify buying anything new, although I have lots I haven't really worn as our summer's have been so crap here.

Giles AW11
Last night The Actor, Princess Julia, Daisy Beaumont, Josephine Butler and I went to see our friend Giles' AW11 show.
It was at the Royal Courts of Justice in the Strand so in typically Giles sense of humour we were all sent summons, hand typed and delivered. I'm sure it panicked a few people. I thought I might have forgotten my council tax again. Thankfully I hadn't. This is one of the

Dear Me - A letter to my sixteen year old self - Giles Deacon, Patsy Kensit, Lesley Manville and Julian Clary
Photography by Alasdair McLellanGiles
I'm having a lovely lazy Sunday. I need to get myself together and go to a show this evening, I'm not even dressed yet, I'd better get a bath on, lively!
I saw my friend Giles briefly last night. It's his show tomorrow night at the Old Bailey. Our tickets were hand delivered yesterday. They are official summons, hand typed and delivered in ominous

Psychedelic cars
I love this picture of Janis Joplin taken in 1968. The car's fabulous as is Janice's outfit.
George Harrison's psychedelic Mini
Back in 1966 Beatles manager Brian Epstein gave each of the Beatles a Mini Cooper S as a gift. George had his repainted to feature pictures of sanskrit mantras inspired by the book Tantrum Art. It appeared in the film Magical Mystery Tour and George, Pattie Boyd,

Finding old photographs
This is my passport picture from 2000. I took this in one of those booths in Liverpool Street where you can pick the one you like best. I wish you had that option with all photos! Daisy did hers at the same time. She looked just like Emma Peel.
Readers of my blog will know that I've been doing a life laundry for the past few weeks. I've found tons of things I thought I'd lost which is

I love these pictures. The flower make-up in the first one is gorgeous. The other two are from a shoot for Italian Vogue. The flowers are fabulous and so are the outfits. Mariacarla is wearing my Giles for Christian Louboutin shoes from last year.

This is my friend Giles wearing a Stephen Jones ostrich feather hat from his SS07 collection. Glasses by Dior Homme.
That's the lovely Agyness Deyn wearing the same hat opening the show.I could do with one of these to go to the shops on a bad hair day!

Giles Ungaro sheep - Funbongo
Funbongo
I usually see Giles every weekend but he's been rather busy with his own collection showing in London and his debut for Emmanuel Ungaro in Paris. Giles hasn't had a proper day off in three months! He did come round for The Actor's Birthday which is 20th August and we had an absolutely brilliant and hysterical day and night. Since then I've only seen him fleetingly. I've missed his

Giles debut collection for Ungaro
Giles presented his first collection for Emmanuel Ungaro this morning in a specially created rooftop garden in the centre of Paris.
In a riot of colour, floral butterflies, animals and cars Giles showed his stunning new collection. Headpieces by Stephen Jones, accessories by Katie Hillier and styled by Katie Grand.
Models and guests wandered around the garden sipping Champagne at 11am,

Giles SS11 and Giles/M.A.C after party
Photography by Alasdair McLellan
I may be biased as he's my best friend, but I thought the Giles show was AMAZING and contained touches of absolute genius. After winning the ANDAM award two seasons ago one of the stipulations was that Giles had to move his catwalk show to Paris. His extremely welcome return as top dog in London fashion went down a storm.
Giles' incredible eye astounds me

Thank you Giles xxx
Frida Gustavsson for Giles SS10
My poor old Mac G4 laptop is nearly eight years old. It's like a dear old lady and could slip off at any minute. I would be lost without it. I desperately need a new one but can't afford it at the moment. For the last couple of days every time I try and do something I get what my friend Jo-Ann Furniss calls "the spinning wheel of death." So annoying!

Presents from Giles and Mrs Jones is here. Yeeeeahhh!
My gorgeous friends Giles and David popped round and brought me some presents. It reminded me of a while ago when the pair had been at Elton John's party and brought me the biggest bottle of vodka I'd ever seen. Excuse the dodgy mobile phone pics.
You need two hands to pour this... As The Actor found out when he chipped a piece out of my cream granite worktop! He paid for the repair... I

A night with Mrs Jones
I had a fantastic evening with my great friend Fee Doran aka Mrs Jones last night. Whenever we get together there's always dressing up and a lot of laughing involved. Here is a picture she took of me wearing my Christian Louboutin for Giles shoes. She had me kneeling on a mini chaise in front of my bedroom window. I was standing on it and one point and it made a loud creaking noise and I
