Mrs Jones new shop opening in Shoreditch

By Sunday I'd done four days on the low carb diet and was already bored with losing a food group.
Giles and David came over on Saturday night and I was unusually well behaved.  I drank umpteen cups of Rooibos tea.  Giles had beer and David had Jack Daniels and Coke, which I inhaled every time it passed me.  To top off the rock 'n' roll look I was also wearing a long white Victorian nightdress

My big night out

As I'm still on my economy drive I was lucky that pretty much everything I wanted to do this week were on the same night.
First I met my friends Stephen Beresford, who's a brilliant writer, and the lovely stylist Richard Sloan aka Sloanie in Mayfair to help choose a 40th Birthday present.  Stephen very kindly treated us to cocktails in the bar at The Connaught afterwards.
I didn't take any

Dinner with the de Havilland's

Yesterday I interviewed the fabulous Terry de Havilland and his gorgeous wife Liz.  What a wonderful couple they are.
Terry's shoes are works of art.  There's a jaw dropping collection of new and vintage de Havilland's at his studio.  I was like a kid in a sweet shop!  I could go absolutely mental in there!
It's going to take a while to put the interview together as I plan to use a lot of images

I love this cover

Photography by Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggott
I think the new Paris Vogue cover is beautiful!  Shot by the fabulous Mert and Marcus, Emmanuelle Alt has chosen brilliantly.  And of course, our Kate's still got it!
I hope it's hot again today.  I'm at home all morning then I'm going to interview Terry de Havilland and his lovely wife Liz in the afternoon.   Their studio is at the top of my road,

More Mrs Jones party pictures

Photography by Mac Aplanat
There are so many photographs from the Mrs Jones party on Friday floating about on Facebook.  I'd forgotten there were so many photographers and people taking pictures there.  Do excuse my bra hanging out in most of them or roll ups in my hands... classy!
Here's a few more

Come and get dressed up by Mrs Jones on Friday!

This Friday Mrs Jones is having a party and a sale at her fabulous studio in Clerkenwell.  If you fancy coming along please drop me a line.

I may be biased as Fee is my best friend but she is the most wonderful, talented and hilarious person you'll ever meet.  I love her to bits.
Do you fancy being dressed up in one of Fee's creations?

Lizzie, Vicky from The Drama Parlour and I will be there

The top secret shoot we did about a month ago was Katy Perry for Grazia's Christmas issue.  Fee was styling Katy and she made a couple of special gowns for her to wear.  I've never seen so many people on a

Come and get styled by Mrs Jones

At the last minute my great friend designer and stylist Mrs Jones will be in Shoreditch tomorrow as part of an event called Sort Yourself Out Love.  My fabulous friend and hairdresser from the Drama Parlour, Victoria Saunders will be doing hair and make-up and Kelly Love will be there giving "life advice."
The original plan is that the three of them would have a van at festivals offering

Still West at Mrs Jones

Mrs Jones and me, 2001 - We must get a recent one done
I've been at Mrs Jones in West London since Tuesday night.  The house hasn't been sorted out for a very long time but it's all coming together at last.  I did it nine years ago when this picture was taken.
We haven't been out all week and we're becoming quite feral.  You should see the state of me!  We're going to go off and have a roast

Vogue's Fashion Night Out

Singer Kirsty Almeida and Monkey the Cocker Spaniel
I was due at Liberty where Manolo Blahnik and Yasmin Le Bon were hosting Vogue's Fashion Night Out.  My friend Richard Sloan was DJing from 7-9pm. I was also expected at another great friend Sarah Owen and her sister Lily Allen's pop-up vintage shop, Lucy in Disguise at Selfridges for cocktails.  On top of that a planned smash and grab of

Fiona Doran was born in Essex in 1967.  A groundbreaking designer and stylist, she has created looks for a host of stars, most famously the iconic white catsuit for Kylie Minogue.
We've been great friends for many years and this is a transcript of an amazingly open and honest interview we did at my house last weekend.  Fee talks about love, life,

A big thank you... and lots of shoes!

I had a telephone call from my friend Ruth from Life, the universe and all that's in it last week asking me what size my feet are.  I used to be a five and a half, I'm not sure whether it's due to excessive wearing of Ugg boots in the winter but my feet seem to have grown. Depending on the make of shoe and the height of the heel my feet can be anything from a five and a half to a six and a

Me and Mrs Jones' weekend

I love this picture
The Actor is away filming in Cape Town and Fee's ex-husband had taken her son to Ibiza on holiday.  We took the opportunity to have a whole weekend doing whatever we liked. How times have changed from the days we used to go out for the entire weekend only popping home to change into another one of Fee's fabulous designs.  It was like a challenge amongst our friends who could

Sunday music - The wonderful Richie Havens

When I saw my friend Fee Doran on Friday night we stayed up playing each other some great music we'd come across.  Fee introduced me to Richie Havens.  I am quite blown away by him.  He's one of those performers that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up.
This is him opening Woodstock in 1969, the year I was born.  His Birthday is the day before mine.  I love him!! and as Fee

A night with Mrs Jones

I had a fantastic evening with my great friend Fee Doran aka Mrs Jones last night.  Whenever we get together there's always dressing up and a lot of laughing involved.  Here is a picture she took of me wearing my Christian Louboutin for Giles shoes.  She had me kneeling on a mini chaise in front of my bedroom window.  I was standing on it and one point and it made a loud creaking noise and I

Laid back Sunday

And it's not house music... for a change!

Here is a tune I've loved for years by Danish duo Laid Back from 1989.  It reminds me of my friend Fee Doran who used to play it when she DJ'd.  I've never seen the video until now and it's pretty amazing.

It's now available from iTunes for the princely sum of 79 pence.  It sounds great played loud with the bass turned up.

We're off to a gastro pub

Me and Mrs Jones

Photography by Lee JenkinsMe and Mrs Jones aka Fee Doran, taken for the Evening Standard in 2001
I'm having a bit of a life laundry at the moment and I found a disc of some old pictures in a drawer today. I have barely any photographs of myself as my ex-boyfriend accidentally burnt our warehouse flat down in 1995 (we were the top floor) the asbestos roof caught fire and flew off.  There was

Mrs Jones & The Drama Parlour opening

Last night I went along to fashion designer and stylist Fee Doran's studio opening for her label Mrs Jones.  Fee and I have been great friends for almost twenty years and I love her fabulous creations.  I still have some vintage Mrs Jones clothes that I wear and couldn't resist buying another piece last night and have my eye on a few more...

Fee has made fabulous outfits for a long list of
