Mrs Jones new shop opening in Shoreditch
By Sunday I'd done four days on the low carb diet and was already bored with losing a food group.
Giles and David came over on Saturday night and I was unusually well behaved. I drank umpteen cups of Rooibos tea. Giles had beer and David had Jack Daniels and Coke, which I inhaled every time it passed me. To top off the rock 'n' roll look I was also wearing a long white Victorian nightdress

My big night out
As I'm still on my economy drive I was lucky that pretty much everything I wanted to do this week were on the same night.
First I met my friends Stephen Beresford, who's a brilliant writer, and the lovely stylist Richard Sloan aka Sloanie in Mayfair to help choose a 40th Birthday present. Stephen very kindly treated us to cocktails in the bar at The Connaught afterwards.
I didn't take any

I try and improve a bad Ebay buy
I borrowed this red and silver sequinned number from Mrs Jones Emporium, I thought it would look alright with a pair of shorts. I bought something similar on Ebay before Christmas but it's a bit of a turkey. I shall be showing you some of my Ebay buys for a while as I'm not spending, most of them are successful. Hope you don't all nod off.
I love the blouson sleeves and the buttoned cuffs.

Dinner with the de Havilland's
Yesterday I interviewed the fabulous Terry de Havilland and his gorgeous wife Liz. What a wonderful couple they are.
Terry's shoes are works of art. There's a jaw dropping collection of new and vintage de Havilland's at his studio. I was like a kid in a sweet shop! I could go absolutely mental in there!
It's going to take a while to put the interview together as I plan to use a lot of images

There are so many photographs from the Mrs Jones party on Friday floating about on Facebook. I'd forgotten there were so many photographers and people taking pictures there. Do excuse my bra hanging out in most of them or roll ups in my hands... classy!

Friday quotes - Elizabeth Taylor

"It's not the having, it's the getting"
Elizabeth Taylor(b. 1932)
Legendary Hollywood star Elizabeth Taylor was once voted The Most Beautiful Woman in the World. Married eight times to seven husbands, most famously Richard Burton who she married twice. She needs no introduction. Here are some of my favourite quotes.

In the mood for red
Photography by Andy WarholLiza Minelli
I woke up today and the sun was out. I was looking decidedly pasty and I haven't washed my hair since Saturday evening for the Mad Men party. The only thing for it was to put on some slap, throw on some Batiste dry shampoo and some Clynol hair shine and something in my favourite colour - red.

Dressing up with Mrs Jones
Every time I go into the studio for a meeting I always end up getting dressed up by Mrs Jones. There are so many fabulous clothes and accessories in there you just want to try stuff on. I'm usually sitting around in the office in a showgirl headdress or something. Here I'm wearing a huge feather boa that Fee bought in LA.
Accessorised with the most mental glasses. They have patterned

Leopard dress from Mrs Jones lookbook
On Saturday Mrs Jones, along with hairdresser Victoria Saunders and Kelly Love did an event in Shoreditch where people came along to be dressed up. They will be at festivals doing the same thing next summer. Keep your eyes out for a van with 'Sort Yourself Out Love' on the side!

Still West at Mrs Jones
Mrs Jones and me, 2001 - We must get a recent one done
I've been at Mrs Jones in West London since Tuesday night. The house hasn't been sorted out for a very long time but it's all coming together at last. I did it nine years ago when this picture was taken.
We haven't been out all week and we're becoming quite feral. You should see the state of me! We're going to go off and have a roast

Where I go to a WI evening with a difference
My best friend Fee, designer Mrs Jones called me yesterday and said I had to come to the studio this evening. She told me "The WI are doing something down here" I said "What THE Women's Institute? Are you having a laugh?" Why on earth would I be up for that? I haven't baked a cake since I was seven! I didn't think the WI would be my thing at all, and of course I thought I was far too young!
