Gorgeous green

Hedy Lamarr looking fabulous in green
This post is dedicated to the lovely Alex who's favourite colour is green.  I'm always looking out for green things for her on Ebay.
I rarely wear anything green although I love it as a colour.  I love brightly coloured make-up and I wear an Urban Decay emerald green glittery eyeliner a lot.

I own one dark green dress which I wore last week.  It's quite

Friday quotes - Hedy Lamarr

"I have not been that wise.  Health I took for granted.  Love I have demanded, perhaps too much and too often.  As for money, I have only realised it's true worth when I didn't have it"
Hedy Lamarr(1913-2000)
Hedy Lamarr was one of Hollywood's most beautiful women.  A star that possessed great beauty and brains,  she invented frequency hopping which has gone to to allow wireless communication

An evening on the sofa

The fabulous Hedy Lamarr
I am so boring now. People think I'm out at fabulous parties all the time.  I do occasionally go to a party but most of the time these days I'm in watching TV.  I'm such a TV addict.  I meant it when I said I'm like an old nana the other day!

Admittedly we were shooting a pop star today so I'm lucky that lots of fun things happen around me.  More of which will be

Pictures I love

Photography by TeshAndi Muise, Marina Skopkareva and Cintia Dicker for Allure magazine, 2008
Inspired by the picture above here's another of my collections of random images.  I love the short macs by Banana Republic and the shoes by Christian Louboutin.  The girl's three different hair colours and the distinctive Louboutin soles caught my eye.  I think it's a great picture.
Then back to the

Show you my wardrobe - Part seven

I think this faux fur jacket from Mk2k is gorgeous
As it's getting colder I thought I'd show you my jackets.  I'm not terribly practical and don't have very many.  I often don't bother wearing one.  I tend to get taxi's if I'm going out and wear a lot of scarves, stoles or marabou, which are really warm, rather than a coat or a jacket.  I'm terrible at losing them too!  I've left quite a few

Seven quotes for a Thursday afternoon - Part forty five

Photography by Alfred Eisenstaedt
"Glamour is what makes a man ask for your telephone number. But also what makes women ask for the name of your dressmaker"
Lilly Dache(1898-1989)

"I don't mind being burdened with being glamorous and sexual.  Beauty and feminity are ageless and can't be contrived, and glamour, although the manufacturers won't like this, cannot be manufactured"
Marilyn Monroe(

I love all these headdresses.  I can't walk past a fabulous hat or headdress without trying it on.  I would wear any of these.
I once went to a party dressed a  showgirl.  I loved my outfit particularly the
